Didgeridoos

didgeridoos

Spirit of Australia Gallery offers the largest collection of Authentic Aboriginal Australian made didgeridoos on the Gold Coast. Over 200 authentic, termite-eaten didgeridoos are display. The Gallery offers free lessons on playing the didgeridoo to customers wanting to learn. Itís easier to get those wonderful sounds from a didgeridoo than you think. It takes years of practice to play an Aborigine but you can get impressive sounds quickly and easily.

Didgeridoos are a musical wind instrument which originally came from the Aboriginals in Northern Australia. They are made by using the trunks or branches of eucalyptus trees which have been hollowed out by termites. Didgeridoos are played in 'corroborees' (traditional aboriginal dances) and are decorated with traditional tribal and spiritual designs.
