Bibi Barba Bibi Barba was born in Roma and raised in Liverpool, Sydney, the daughter of Aboriginal Featherweight boxing champion Buddy Claire. Bibi has a sense of design and colour and a strong sense of storytelling. Bibi’s work has a real vitality, such freshness in the colours. Bibi’s art is accessible and decorative, they are instantly recognisable, but not predictable.
Bibi has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia. In 2001 she was part of an Australia Art exhibition touring Europe.
Her work is held in number of private collections not only in Australia but also in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, New York and South Carolina in the United States.
