Language: PintupiPantjiya Nungarrayi was born in the region of Haasts Bluff in 1936. Pantjiya commenced painting for Papunya Tula Artists in 1996 and is the wife of the now deceased artist, George Maxwell Jangala. After the death of her husband, Pantijiya returned yo her homeland, Kiwirrkurra.Pantjiya only started to paint in the mid nineties. Her painting style is very distinctive using the three colours of black, white and yellow ochre. Pantjiya’s work is widely recognised and now her art products are highly collectable.Pantjiya’s work is represented at the:
