Sean is known as the Bundjalung Sean, he takes his name from his nation, Bundjalung. His clan is Ngyabul from Cabbage Tree Island.

As an artist Sean paints stories about the Dreamtime, Aboriginal survival, land, animals, and other important stories of his tribe which have been handed down from their Elders.
